Fool's Paradise
If you don't think the word "foolish" has negative connotations, then you are likely in the right place. Watch this page for all sorts of bicycle-related foolishness.
Warning: this is a new site, [11-19-97], and as such, it is under constant revision. I hate those little "under construction" icons, so be forewarned of their absence. (If something is consistently broken, I guess I want to know; but there will be "loose ends" for a couple weeks.)
Ride Reports
Okay, so I warned you, this is still new, there'll be more later, as I add them ...
- 15th Annual Turkey Day Ride Sierra Azul, Los Gatos, CA
This was the fifteenth annual Turkey Day Ride up the Kennedy Trail at Sierra Azul Open Space Preserve, Los Gatos, CA, Thursday November 27, 1997. Narrative and photos from this great ride!
- Bill 'n Bob's Epic Adventure Mount Tamalpias, Marin County, CA
The Grasshoppers go looking for adventure in Marin County. They found it. We do the Old Railroad Grade and Repack on one rainy day. Extra bonus adventures, as well!
Foolish stuff
- Take Rockbert's Rad Rating How do you rate? Is it important?
An example of a Perl-generated dynamic Web-page. Fill out a form, get a personal evaluation, but be forewarned, it's not polite.
- Grasshopper Racing
Hey! Enter the world of testosterone-drunken gonzo mountain bikers gone wild! The smell of sweat (and burning weeds), the sound of gurgling Heineken (and obnoxious remarks), the INFANTILE BEHAVIOR!! (Hey, it's fun.)
- C.H.U.N.K. 666 Will Chopper Bicycles take over the World?
Comments about this site range from "inspired", to "you suck." Many of us will remember days of similar pursuits ...
- Mountain Bike Slang Dictionary What the hell are you talking about?
"We were on a
death march
in quest of
sky,
when
Fred
augers
in, and takes a
soil sample,
right in front of the
Bettys! He
taco'd
his new
unobtanium
wheel, but he was more concerned with his
rookie mark."
