This cross was made by the late Herb Hager while at the Orchid Zone; a proven breeder that imparts yellow lip color.

Grandparent. Epitome of a fine spotted phalaenopsis, this cross was originally made by Woody Carlson. Excellent color and carriage.

The great-great-grandparent of this plant is Painted Desert, registered by Shaffers in 1966, via the John Ewing hybrid Cinnamon Candy, on the Entrechat side. Very free-flowering.

Scott Collins of Echo Valley Orchids made this cross. This plant is a small-flowered variant with a monsterously thick flower spike, that would look about right on a large pink.

I made this cross in 1986 using plants from the Shaffer Collection. Great color, bloom continuously and very fragrant. Who says everything has to be round?
